Ayr 1959

DSCF1004

With my Ayr collection woefully thin on the ground this is a welcome addition to the fold. I is one of several colour variations for that year with this one being the yellow and blue version. This one was made by The Jewellery Metal Co of Dublin.DSCF1003

Filey 1959

DSCF1001

My first acquisition for some time, this is my new Filey 1959 badge. A two colour badge it is effectively rendered in faux 3D and fairly successful if not a little dull. The badge was made by Reeves and co.

Skegness 1959

I cant help but think that there must of been some kind of economy drive in force at Butlins in 1959 as this badge is absolutely tiny. Despite being just two colours however it is still a very nice piece and its dinkyness adds to its attraction.

DSCF1001The badge is in almost pristine condition and was made by Reeves of Birmingham.

Clacton 1959

From 1959  this badge is in great condition on the front but does look a tad faded. A change in maker for this one, it is produced by Gaunt of London.

DSCF1001 The back of the badge is a little distressed with some bending to the pin housing and tarnish to the rear. Overall a well preserved and slightly different example of the collection.
