Showing a seagull on a blue field this a nice simple badge that works well by breaking the edges of the frame. Made by Reeves this badge is in good condition but sadly the clasp has been squashed.

Skegness 1966
This is the last badge of my current batch. Funds are low for a while but I will be buying again soon. This is a classic seagull design in just two colours. It lacks some of the flair of previous designs and seems very much a “make do”design. This one was made by Gaunt.

Christmas 1966
A bit of a first this one. This is the Christmas badge from 1966.Extravagant as badges go this one feature 4 colours and depicts a gargantuan snowman striding across the vista tearing up pine trees. Hang on, that's a bit scary! Made by Gaunt I imagine it was distributed for closed season special events.
Unusually this entry has a dedication and goes out to Andy Gregory who is baffled at my my collection but does love Christmas!

Bognor Regis 1960 - 1967
Here I present the full run of Bognor Regis badges (excluding variations and replicas) as you can see style varies wildly and three of the main makers of badges for Butlins all get a look in.
This by no means completes my collecting of the Bognor badges as I only have 8 of the 21 camp badges, none of the 11 Committee badges and 2 of the 8 known replica badges. Collecting continues.

Minehead Collection 1962 - 1967
Here I present my Minehead collection representing one badge for each year of opening in the period 1962 – 1967 .
But wait the quest does not stop there. You see this represents just 25% of the badges labelled Minehead in total there are 24 (not including modern badges). Additionally one of the badges above is actually a replica.
I still need the 1962 badge and its two concessionary versions, the two concessionary versions for 1962, the brass concessionary for 1963, the brass concessionary for 1966 and the 1967 badge in a colour variation.
PLUS
1962 – 1967s entire run of committee badges.
I’d better keep looking. My premium target is the genuine 1962, just to complete the run.
Coming up: The 8 Bognor years.

Badges For Sale
I am currently listing some of my duplicate badges on eBay so this may be a chance to fill gaps in personal collections.
Of direct interest to this blog are two Minehead 1964 badges and the 1966 Beaver badge I posted yesterday (yes I now have two!!)
As always pictures say 1000 words, everything starts at 99p so maybe you could even start your collection here? Its a cheap hobby (honest, until you add the cumulative cost!)

Beaver Club 1966
I was having a poke around in a box yesterday and to my great joy I discovered three badges that I had not realised I had. I’m guessing they were bought at the end of my last collecting period just before I lost the finances and the urge to continue.
This one depicts a clown (shudder) and is painted rather then enamelled and is in good condition. Made by Gaunt its a great little badge…if you ignore the clown bit (more about this on my main blog Reviewed at Random)

Barry Island 1966
My new acquisition today is a fantastic condition Barry Island 1966 badge. Enamelling is almost pristine and there is hardly any tarnish at all. An excellent addition and my first Barry Island badge.
It is stamped with the makers mark and in this case that is Thomas Fattorini and his sons. I wonder where they are now?
